I’d like to say I’m a ‘people person’. I’d also like to say I’m driven, pragmatic and enthusiastic. Before I left school, I had already arranged my apprenticeship as a heavy goods vehicle technician, I finished school on the Friday, and started my apprenticeship on the Monday! I completed my apprenticeship and progressed to a workshop supervisor.
After that I migrated into fleet management. I worked for a bank in the contract hire industry working closely with local authorities. That is where my relationship with Chevin began! I was a user of FleetWave 1, and then migrated to FleetWave 2, becoming a system administrator. I have also been a depot manager for a Scania franchise.
When I had the chance to join Chevin, I jumped at it! I love the business, the team and the clients I get to work with, we are doing some pretty cool stuff together! I’m from a big family, and I’m kind of making my own big family, I have 3 boys and a girl, if I look tired – this is why!
Interests
Life is about chapters, as I bumble my way through each chapter, my interests reflect a little bit where I’m at in life. Sometimes the chapter you are on dictates your interests a little. In the past, I’ve played football (real football), squash and played bass in a semi-professional band.
One of my favorite things that I still get to enjoy from time to time is wild camping, I love to escape in the Scottish highlands, hiking and climbing in isolated places.
